Drottningholm Palace
Drottningholm - this magnificent royal palace, surrounded by gardens and surrounded by the lake Mälaren. It was built as a suburban residence of the royal family. Located 20 kilometers from Stockholm.
Drottningholm Castle was designed by architect Nicodemus Tessin in 1662. However, only in 1683 the palace acquired those outlines that it has today. The architecture of the palace of Drottningholm traced notes of the late Baroque and Rococo, which makes it unique among other Swiss palaces.
On the territory of the palace complex are Chinese pavilions, lawns, gardens, opera house and the church, which also have their own history.
