The Vasa Museum
The Old Town - one of the most popular museums in Scandinavia. The building of the museum is a real sailing ship of the 17th century. The ship was built by the Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus.
During her maiden voyage August 10, 1628 the ship rolled over and sank. After staying there for more than three hundred years, the ship Vasa was raised to the surface in 1961. Thanks to modern technology medieval sailing ship was renovated.
Near the ship vase in the museum is not just carried out the shooting historical films. In addition, the museum presents the exhibition history of the ship and the items that were found on the ship.
