Sofiero Castle

Sofiero Castle - an elegant palace, which in the past belonged to the Swedish royal family. In 1905 he was presented as a wedding gift to Prince Gustaf Adolf and his wife Margarita Konnautskoy, although it was built in 1865. 

Today the castle is known for its luxurious Sofiero garden, which was laid out around the palace. Unique plants were brought from all corners of the Earth. Especially attracted attention flowerbeds with rhododendrons, which is about 500 species. 

The castle Sofiero often hosts shows and music of Swedish and foreign artists. In the same building there is a permanent exhibition of works of art.
