The Nordic Museum
Northern or Nordic Museum is located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm. This museum is dedicated to Swedish culture and ethnography.
Building Museum, founded in 1873, was built in 1907 on the model of the Gothic castle of Frederiksborg, which is located in Denmark. Nordic Museum in Stockholm appeared thanks to the teachers and cultural Hazelius Arthur, who gave the museum his personal collection of antiques.
In the main building of the museum is a huge North statue of King of Sweden - Gustav Vasa. In adjacent rooms located less exposure representing the country's history from the 16th century to the present day. This is mainly clothing, furniture, household items and interior, which is already more than 500 years.
